  • Half Life Problems....might be driver related i dunno.

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem...when im joining a game and the game is loading...(use gamespy...like when its at the 2d screen where its connecting to the server IP#)...it gets to a point and then nothing happens at all(like the point right b4 you screen scrolls up when you join the game)...it just sits there and nothing happens. The server isnt full or anything. I havnt had this problem b4 i switched drivers. Also...when the maps are switching (after i connect, after like 4 tries)it dumps me back to the console...like how it was loading the IP# when i first logged onto the server....and it just sits there. When i mean sits there i dont mean it hangs or locks up or anything...i can hit Esc and go back to Game Spy and try to connect agian....but what a pain in the ass. Is this just another bug with the Beta ICD? Is anyone else getting this problem? I know it would sound like a connection problem, but im on cable and i havent had any previous problems b4 connecting or changing maps b4 i installed 5.25 and the Beta ICD. I also randomly see light texture problems...mostly in C Strike...but very rarely i can live with that...but its a pain in the ass when it takes forever to connect and have to reconnect after the game ends and the map changes...Sometimes it doesnt happen at all and i can change maps...but it usually dumps me to console 80-90% of the time. Please write back if you have any info on curing this problem or if you are experiencing the samthing. Thanx for your time.
