TOCA2 w/ G400 locking up

I have a G400DH32MB with 5.21 drivers set up, working nicely. I've been playing T.O.C.A 2 intensively now for a while. My system completely locks up when I'm on the first foggy track during a standard championship, It just kills the whole system. I'm wondering whether this is a toca2 issue or a g400 driver issue.
Has anybody been able to go through a championship, or to race on a track with fog with a g400?
