  • Drivers Mystique G200 and Rainbow Runner

I had the 5.13 drivers in my machine:
    Abit BE6
    Pentium III 450
    Matrox Mystique G200
    Win98
    and it ran fine.
Since I have ordered a Rainbow Runner card and read that it needed the 4.33 drivers to run and the 5.13 would not work with it I took out the 5.13 drivers and installed the 4.33. I have the latest bios 104.
it crashes once in a while and wondered if others had this problem too. Too bad that the Rainbow runner cannot use the latest drivers because the 4.33 suck. IMHO

    stevenscott,

in order to uninstall the 5.x driver you need to download the uninstaller from the matrox website. use the uninstaller and then reinstall the 4.x driver.

Thank you, but I think you misunderstood. I do use the matrox uninstaller. I only found that the drivers needed for the Rainbow card 4.33 cause my computer to have some problems, where the 5.13 drivers seemed to have been much more stable. I had no problems with any uninstalls and installs. I just wish the newer drivers were compatible with the Rainbow card. However I have no yet installed the Rainbow card because I have no recieved it yet from Buy.com. it is on back order. Thank you and I see you are a valuable contributer to the Matrox forums and appreciate any and all help from you guys.

        Hi,

Go to the RR-G driver section... get the 5.15 drivers and the 1.50 Beta video tools.
