    Hey Guys,
We've been working with Chris Egerter on supporting both G400 features including EMBM and Dual-head into his Power Render engine.
You can check out his latest demo which takes advantage of both features.
(Requires 5.21 since it uses dual-hal)

    Any comments appreciated,

    Thanks,

There is a new version of the demo at http://www.egerter.com/q2/prland.zip

This fixes the dual head problem.

      Tried it:

Single screen: black screen and lockup.
Dual Screen: 2 black screens and lockup.

Tried it with the rendering options on and off... lockup after lockup.

So, what can I do more??

Okay, got it to work, but single screen only... have to choose G400 Dual Head mode on one monitor, not primairy screen-adaptor.

32 bits create error in Z-buffer was one fault though, crashed my windows98.

But I've seen it, and it looks good. Now how about some sound??

If you downloaded it earlier today, get the archive again. I fixed a problem in the dual head mode.

To run it, just hit start for one monitor, or click on the dual head check mark and start to run with two monitors.

You shouldn't have to change the rendering devices at all.

It doesn´t even start for me. It says:

              Detail.pcx

              Cannot open texture

Any ideas? I will try dl it again.

What video card are you using?

Also what is the full pathname to where you installed the demo?

I am aware of a bug that prevent it from running if you have a long path or the path has a directory with spaces in the name.

Jorden - you have to download it again. It's been fixed again, and now is very good! I'm impressed, and hope more games take advantage of this is cool feature.

ChrisE: Thanks alot! I was instaling the demo in a folder with spaces in the name. It works now.

And I only can say *WOW*. I can´t wait to play a game with those features. You firing a rocker and the camera being folow it in the other monitor (TV for me) is way cool!

Oh, using a G400 DH, of course

                      Update:

                      All 4 options now working.

But is the collision detection off?? Missiles fly straight through trees and those building remnants now... Wasn't in the old version

The moment I ran from the edge of the world (and the world respawned to the other side) I lost the sky and had grey textures appearing here and there.

                      Jorden.

I ran it in DualHead mode last night, with my TV as a second monitor.

Worked great. Can't wait for this to be used in a bunch of actual games

Looks good and runs great even with everything turned on. Have not tried the dual monitor since I don't have that setup yet. Are you looking into anyway to switch resolutions?
