    Hi Tim,

Unfortunately, at this time there are no plans to release any updates that
will add support for any of the currently unsupported display cards. I'm
sorry I did not have better news for you. Unless you are planning to
upgrade to a new 3D card in the near future, I recommend you return the
    game.

If your retailer will not refund your money due to the package being opened,
I will be happy to exchange your opened copy of the game for a new,
shrink-wrapped copy. We have found that retail establishments are often
more willing to accept a return if the game has not been opened.

Before you return the game, you might want to see if there's any updated
drivers that might help this issue.

    Brad

~ May the Force be with you!

Mmmmmmmmm.... I hope this is not true. I wonder if ROM can verify this for us.

If it is true, would you buy any games from Uncle Lucas in the future? Knowing that it may not work on your next video card upgrade!

    I Think Not !!!

            I replied to "Uncle" Lucas.
In answer to his helpful advice to get a new card, I told him it is a ******* new card.

I also told him I would not be the only aggrieved party.

What's funny about all this! I also received the same reply a week or so ago. Seems that Lucas Arts is blaming the drivers for the G400. My old G200 is in my son's machine, so I installed Rogue there and it looks GREAT! Not one glitch with the G200. I had to keep my Voodoo 2 in my machine until Rogue is finished. Too bad! Lucas Arts had problems with the Voodoo 3 and the Banshee as well. They fixed those!

I must say that this is disappointing to hear from a company like LucasArts... You would expect that they would want their games to look their best, and where would they look any better than on a G400? I was looking forward to playing RS on my G400 when it arrives. I hope they change their minds about this.

                  Hi Guys,

what exactly is your problem in Rogue Squad ?

                  I'm using the latest patch

                  ftp://ftp.lucasarts.com/patches/pc/rogueupd12.exe

and it runs like a charme over here, despite the G400 being 'unsupported when I choose D3D as rendering device.

(I know the readme says there were fixes for 3dfx, but that update fixed some weird font problems on my G400)

This really pisses me off. What favoritist arrogance to provide fixes for Voodoo3 and not G400. If they are going to behave this way, to hell with them. Fat chance of me ever purchasing a Lucasarts game... EVER. And I really liked Rogue Squadron, too. I saw it at a friend's house and it was gonna be the FIRST game I picked up when i got my G400MAX..

Tim, couldn't find the email for Brad at Lucasarts.. perhaps you could fwd this thread to him so he can see that others are offended by these policies.. and BTW, let Lucas know how MANY Matrox users there are.

What an asinine attitude. We should all just boycott them.

                    Kind Regards,

                    KvH

                      Hi KvH,

sorry for asking, but did you try that patch ?

As I said above, it fixed a problem on my G400 ...

And I 'm still waiting for some kind of report telling me what exactly is not working properly ...

Once again, people rely on an answer from a tech support person. Guys, i don't know why you suspect that we lie when we say there's a patch coming, stop going through tech support. They are the last people who know about anything. The patch is progressing well, i should have something very soon, but until then all i can say that it's in progress, for the love of god be patient and wait...

                        Thanks,

I ran the 1.2 patch to no success. Rogue Squadron must work hit and miss depending on the card. Just for info sake...here's my system:

400 Mhz Pentium II (not overclocked)
                          Abit BX6

                            Mags..

Nope, haven't tried it, since i'm still waiting on my MAX, but we'll see. I'm certainly not going to downgrade my card for the sake of one or two games though.

                            Kind Regards,
