  • G400 and Kingpin

Has anyone made Kingpin work with G400? I keep getting "cannot find openGL device". I have tried installing the latest drivers (5.15), and flashed the BIOS. I also tried to force AGP 1.0. Is there a way to check that the OpenGL actually works? My system specs:

    GigaByte GA-6BXE

    Pentium III-450

    G400 32MB Dual Head

    SONY 5x DVD, DVD8300 (RealMagic)

    3Com 905 Ethernet (PCI)

    SoundBlaster Live

    Win98 Second Edition

    Hello,

I play Kingpin all the time on my G400 32 at 1024x768x32. Do you experience this with any other games? Have you tried reinstalling KP? I know it sounds extreme but you might wanna C:format your drive(this seems to correct all problems and is a last resort). You might have erased some drivers by accident. Good Luck. I love that game.

Take out any opengl drivers that moght be in the Kinpin dir. That (if there is one) will solve you problem. PS The flame thrower looks cool in 32 bit!

Replaced the OpenGL32.dll in Windows/System dir with the originial found in Win98 cabfiles - and presto(!) it works!
