The dude from Matrox told me to download the agp drivers. My drivers are:
        Bios- 2.6 - 17
        powerdesk- 5.13.020

          I have this problem too.

I have a Gigabyte GA-5AX m/board, with the latest bios, I have the latest AGB and IDE patches.

My G200 has the latest bios and I am using the latest drivers.

My games run fine, until I try them in OpenGL, at which point my machine just hangs.

I think that Matrox tech support have given up on me.
