The game crashes to the desktop if I choose any resolution over 640x480, is anyone aware of this and is there a fix on the way? I miss my favorite game already.

Unfortunately, I've had just the opposite happen to me. With 5.13, I can get ultra-smooth frame rates at 1024 x 768.
